Intermediate Two
This division is designed for players who have the ‘basics’ (i.e. bumping, setting, hitting, serving, etc.) down and would like to concentrate on refining these skills through drills and improving game sense through practice. Intermediate Two players will also learn on-court offensive and defensive formations and game strategy. Intermediate Two players must have played in a VGVA Intermediate division previously or have a very good knowledge of 6-2 specialized play format. The Intermediate Two division holds evaluations at the beginning of each play season to ensure skill level is satisfactory – so be prepared to work!
Play is every Sunday from 4:45 to 7:00PM at the Jericho Hill Gym (4196 West 4th Avenue, just west of Alma Street – see directions below).
Teams do 30 minutes of skill development and play four 20 minute matches, as well as refereeing a match each week.
Play is canceled on the following days: October 9, December 25, January 1, March 25, April 8.
Last day of play is April 29, 2012.
Drop-ins are welcome, but play is not guaranteed. The drop-in fee is $5.00. Men’s and women’s changing and shower facilities are available.
